When I come across a local business that delivers a really good service, I am happy to pass that information on. The companies I list here have worked for me or with me and I know they do a good job.

If you decide to use any of them, please give me feedback on how you found them. Any dissatisfaction will be investigated and in the event where poor service can be shown, I will remove them from my list.

221 Creative.com – Graphic Design, Advertising, Digital Printing

I came across 221Creative when I first moved to Sheffield. They produce some exciting design work and offer excellent value for digital printing. At my request they have put together a special price service for start ups that provides basic logo design, stationery layout for business cards and letterheads plus printing for 250 business cards, 200 letterheads and 500 A5 Flyers for ¬£235 -Ask for Haydn and be sure to ask for the “writestuff” offer.

Westside Payroll Services Ltd

The next company I ¬†recommend is one that I have to declare an interest in as I am a non-executive director though I take no income from that position. It is Westside Payroll – an outsourced payroll and bookkeeping service run by my sister-in-law Sheila and her friend Helen up in Crookes, Sheffield. They’ve been going for many years, have an excellent reputation and provide an expert service – there is very little that Sheila or Helen don’t know about National Insurance, payslips and annual returns and they work with one-man-bands to major companies. If you want to dump the red tape in someone else’s lap, talk to Sheila.

Lee Marsh Design & Moojy.com

Next on my list is a guy called Lee Marsh. Lee produces amazing web-sites – from bespoke to some very clever template options for self-build and maintenance. I was his guinea-pig for the first Moojy site. I guess he figured that if an imbecile technophobe like me could use it to build a web site, then anyone could. Check out www.seo-copywriters-sheffield.co.uk and you can see the result. It works really well.¬† Lee packs a whole load of handy SEO tools into Moojy and it is really easy to use. There’s also an e-commerce option which I intend to try for myself in the near future. Best of all, these sites grow with you business. There’s no limit to the number of pages you can have and you can edit and update your site at will so no ongoing design charges. Lee even installs Google analytics for you. If you want to get found on Google, talk to Lee.
